




I found this screensaver a while ago when I was looking into algorithmic art and artificial life for a project I was working on. I just thought I'd take a few screenshots of it because I think it's very pretty! I particularly like the blue one. You can do amazing things with algorithmic art, and fractals and stuff. I actually think my favourite bit of AI programming I've done was for my generative creativity course, where I made a predator-prey robot simulation as the basis for the generation of art. I have spent far too much time playing with that! You can see it

You should look into 'Processing', its a Java-based-language for 2D and 3D gfx programming like those screenshots, but its high level enough that you can write a 3D spectrum analyser in like 200 lines.
