Apparently, for good health you're supposed to eat at least two portions of fish per week, but no more than one portion of oily fish. The reason I stumbled across this list was that today we bought some Basa from Sainsbury's - a fictional fish if ever I heard one. It was actually really delicious! I looked it up, and apparently it's a Vietnamese Catfish.. I guess it might have put me off had it said that on the packet! I'm quite intrigued now though, I think I'm going to have to seek out all of these other weird and wonderful fish and see what they're like! Apart from Flounder and Dory of course, that's just mean. Lets hope no more ocean-based Disney films come out any time soon.

The Shard, London Bridge

So this is what The Shard looked like as of last Saturday. It's coming on! I'm very excited about going up and seeing the view from the top when it's all finished. Two years to go!

Pretty lights in London: Winter 2010

London was looking very pretty and festive on Saturday. I grabbed a few photos on my phone as we wandered around. This year the theme on Regent Street is The Chronicles of Narnia, I tried to get a picture of the glowy Reepicheep, but he was just too glowy unfortunately! Here are a select few others anyway..

A frozen yoghurt shop in Soho.. not strictly festive, but very pretty. I really want some of these lights, why don't you sell them Homebase?!?

I'm assuming they work there? You never know though, I saw a sign advertising that you could pay to harvest the grapes for them, so it could be a gift experience for all I know!

Stepping Stones, Box Hill

I paid a visit to the Box Hill stepping stones last Thursday, I just love the lunchtime walk potential of Dorking. I started crossing them but then I realised the river was actually lapping over the stones on the far side and I didn't fancy going back to work with soggy shoes! If we get some snow soon, I might wander down there again, I bet it would look great in the snow!

Bio-Suit

Just saw this on TV - the next generation of spacesuit, termed a "second skin" is being developed by Dava Newman at MIT - quite interesting! Apparently it should be ready by about 2017. Check it out here.
